Question about Bose system in 2002 GLE

I have a quick question about the Bose system...it seems very complicated, seeing as it is attached to the steering wheel controls, etc etc etc...anyways...I have the 02 GLE stock Bose system w/ the 6x9 in the rear which is amplified...but, I want to add an additional amplifier to a XPlod 12" woofer and box in my trunk, which is not currently installed...would it be possible to add my 12" XPlod and Kenwood amp to the existing system or does the damn Bose radio have a code in it so that I would need to get the code from the dealer to put in my system? I strangely enjoy the Bose system, as most of you don't, and I am hoping to add a little more pop to it with the 12" XPlod and Kenwood amp...is this going to be possible with the factory head unit?

Thanks for your time.
Oxygen.

1)Bose radios have no codes or anything
2)Even if the radio did have a code, this wouldnt affect the ability to add a sub. All you need is a high-low converter, which you will wire to the sub on the rear deck. It will take the signal going to the bose sub, and convert it to RCA cable, which will run to your amp. Then give the amp power, remote, and ground, and you will be good to go. Some will say you can use speaker level input on the amp but I always recommend a high-low converter over them because Ive never had good luck with speaker level input. And the converter is only $20 from most shops.

Also, the speaker in the rear deck is not a 6X9, its an 8" subwoofer.

It would be alot easier to get a pac linelevel converter. it just plugs in to the back of your bose headunit and it give you two sets of rca. i have one and i am not using it. Send me an email and we can talk. let it go real cheap.
