battery terminals
battery terminals
I just looked at the battery on my I35 for the first time today, and noticed the clamp on the pos post has some type of plastic housing and a fuse. Is this for the bose system? Does the Maxima have the same? Anyone replace the factory housing with an aftermarket battery clamp?
Thanks,

I highly doubt that there a special wire from the battery simply to power the stock stereo- even the stock bose. Today i rode in my friends 2001 i30 with bose and it truly was a laughable expereince I had to ask him to turn it down because the "sub" woudl not stop belching, It was truly a joke. Nissan should be ashamed of the max. i3o setup. Although his 2001 i30 sure did feel more powerful than my 99 max. ho hum
That was just my guess, but now I'm curious. Most OEM 'specialty' manufacturers [Bose for infinity & acura, etc. . .] are still not great stereos, but to joe blow they sound just fine [witness the kudos to the I35 for it's stereo, from car reviews everywhere]. [It does sound much better than the Bose system in the Acura RSX, btw].
