Upgrading too 140 amp alternator???

Upgrading too 140 amp alternator???

Hey all, was wondering, since my alternator is on its way out the door. would it be worth the extra 50 bucks too upgrade too a 140 amp alternator vr a reg. 110 amp stock alternator for a 2000 maxima??? i have a little bit of a system, JL 500.1 and a kicker KX650.4. plus i plan too add some extra electrical doodads and HIDs in the future.... would it be worth the little bit extra coin?....i say 50 bucks, but anywhere from 50-100 bucks depending on if i want too get a used alternator or not...used ones range from 30-90 bucks... new remanufactured of course was 110...and the 140 was 150 i beleive........ and on a side note...does anyone know of anyplace that sells alternators for our cars? i got a 2k max....would like too shop around....?....

HIDs uses less power than regular halogens so i wouldn't worry about that. and with the power your system is putting out, i don't think you'll need the larger alt.
