Mounting the Microvision??

well i jsut got my screen and it came with the screen, a remote, a casing around the monitor, a little silver piece and a mounting looking piece. How does this fit into the dash? How does it stay in there?

Im pretty sure theres a writeup floating around here if you look, but anyway, you use the silver thing to remove the casing around the monitor, then you disassemble the dash and the screen will sit in between the metal frame and the plastic trim panel, where the stock radio was, and will be held in there by the pressure from the frame and the trim piece. You might have to trim a little bit of plastic from the back of the monitor to make it sit flush but I would try putting it in first before cutting anything.

it is very very tight. I dont want to trim anything. SO its pretty much just pressure that holds it in?

I wouldn't really say pressure holds it in... (I have a Farenheit 7" in mine and I think it's almost exactly the same) when you take the stock HU out, the screen does not fit perfectly in the 2din opening. I made a little shelf for the bottom of the screen to sit on (using some plastic pieces and super glue) then make some small metal brackets to hold the screen from moving side to side and back into the dash. It actually is a lot easier than it sounds. When you take the HU out, you will see what I mean.

Thanks man but i think i got it. Does it just squeeze in there? I mean there was no bracket to mount it to. It seems very tight in there. I dont think its going anywhere.
