adding/ replacing rear deck speakers

could i throw in my trunk my 2 mini home theater speakers and wire them to work instead of the rear deck? or with the rear deck ?
These are Sony 7" woofers from my mini home theater, they are both boxed and ported.(with a tweeter on there as well)
I like the bass they produce in my room and was just wondering if i could put them in the car and if they would work / be compatible ?
(instead of buying a true sub system)this would be temporary.
I am newb. there i said it....
Thanks

No. If you threw them in the rear deck you would have an infinite-baffle situation in which the subs are not enclosed, resulting in crappy sound. The reason they sound so good is because they are in a properly-sized & ported box...I would advocate waiting until you have thmoney for a full setup.

Not all IB installs result in "crappy sound". In fact, with the proper sub they should sound better since you are taking the box out of the equation. Even though the Cult of the Infinitely Baffled deals with home IB's, some aspects of the install are applicable to car installs as well.

...name me a single Sony sub that would perform well in an IB setting.

I don't think any Sony sub would perform well in any alignment. I took your original statement to mean that IB's don't perform well. If I was mistaken in your meaning, I will edit my post.
