Questions about putting speakers in a 98 non-bose

OK, so I recently had to get a new maxima after my 95 had frame damage. I had a Kenwood deck and some basic Alpine speakers in my 95. The Kenwood deck no longer plays CDs so I'm not putting it in the 98. I do want to put the speakers in however and I do not have enough money to get the eclipse deck I want at the moment.

My question is this, if I am going to leave the OEM non-bose HU in and I put in new speakers, I don't need anything special like I know would be needed if it were a bose HU, right? Has anybody here run aftermarket speakers off a non-bose HU? Can you tell any difference or should I wait until I have enough money for a new eclipse HU (which may not be for a LONG, LONG time)? Thanks in advance.

Brian

NO PROBLEM! Just went out and measured my (unhooked up) rear speakers from my 98 that did have the non-bose. It was running a tad over 4 ohms...so your standard 4 ohm speakers well be an easy fit for that HU just as you'd expect.....

Oh, and it will prolly sound a lil better. My advice to you would be to start with that, get totally addicted to car audio and waste all your money on it, but for the time being...it should sound a better
