Can that Eclipse model play write and rewritable DVD discs? Are you sure you used the correct format? (DVD-R, DVD+R, etc)?

well, a vcd isn't the same as a dvd, but u probably knew that. basically you need to convert your files to DVD-compatible mpeg, then create a proper DVD file structure on your PC (you know, with a VIDEO_TS folder and all that) and then burn that to a DVD. check out http://videohelp.com for some really good tutorials. If you're looking for a single piece of software that can really easily create DVDs for you (including making custom menus and chapters), try NeroVision Express. http://ww2.nero.com/enu/NeroVision_Express_3.html

Yea, Ive been trying to do this for the last and a half. I've used over 3 different programs and none of them have given me the results I'm looking for. I have about 20 music videos on my hard drive and every time I burn them to a DVD I cant use the next button to go directly to the next Video. Usually the next button is disabled or 1 program I used broke each video down into 3parts(aka chapters?)

I'm using my PS2 to run My DVDs and Its already a headache that I have to start from the beginning every time I turn the car on/off, but It wouldnt be so bad if I cold just skip to the video I left off on instead of holding fast forward forever.

I dont know much about making a main menu and editing the navigation with any programs. So I think it would be great if anyone knew off a dvd converting/burning program that sets the dvd up the way i need by default.
thanks to all that can help

i've been trying to burn MP3s on to a DVD-R and having it play on my pioneer DVH-P5000MP. It won't read DVD-Rs for some damn reason. That was the only reason i bought a DVD burner.

Nero can get this done. CPU intensive though.
