Speakers for rear deck - Need Bass

No, I am not getting a sub/box. I need trunk space.

Option 1 - 6.5" subs:

Anyother Midbass that plays low frequencies?

Option 2 - 8" subs:

I would have to build an adapter out of MDF. But would the sub hit the trunk rods? They are already close to the Bose speakers.

Option 3 - 6.5" Full Range:

What Fullrange speakers have good low end bass?

I'm a personal fan of option 2 as you'll find if you read enough posts of mine. They'd prolly hit the metal bars, so you'd have to use gas shocks to make a lid opening mechanism and cut those bars out...and also seal off all other airspace between trunk and cabin, and yes, make new baffles (simple... easy). This option is the biggest PITA of the three, but will IMO give you the best results...so i guess it depends which you prefer..quick and simple or more work, modification and better results...I'm sure a lot would be happy with replacement 6.5's like those edesigns. If I were going IB 8's I'd look intyo Image Dynamics ID8's or the 8 made by Diamond I think that someone used in their car IB recently....

I would go for option 2 as well. Carefully placed cuts in the rear deck and some deadener would give you ample mounting surface. If you are going straight for IB, you will not have any issues hitting the tension bars.

I'm like an IB addict...hopeing to be putting 2 12's in the rear deck IB , but that install would require a little welding....

The reason I like the Kickers is because they are Buy one get one FREE. I think they should still be decent even though they might not be up to par with Diamond.

hhm dam bro, comparing 6.5s to an 8 inch?

neways the 8inch will give you some thump, thats what im doing right now, i dont want to cut up my rear deck because it is a pain to work back there.
im thinking of mounting something behind the skihole behind the arm rest.

right now i dont know what 8 inch to use, but they would sound good. what speakers do you have in front? are they amped?
