I'm looking to replace my CD player with an MP3 unit. I don't need anything extravagant...just a reliable unit that will play MP3 CDs. I'm still using the factory non-Bose speakers...very plain Jane system in my car.

How much are you thinking about spending?

This Pioneer is going for a great price right now. I owned it, and it had nice sound, and a lot of great features.

$200 or so. One other requirement is the face must be detachable.

I like Dolphins too. When my family and I go to Seaworld we buy some fish and feed them. They get pretty close, and actually let you pet them .

Go with the Alpine CDA-9847. It has the ant-theft front plate, incredible sound, and I just bought another one for my other car off eBay for $175 after shipping with a remote included. You can't beat Alpine and the price is awesome. The ad is still running on eBay. The item number is 5795044618. Good luck.

I bought a Pioneer DEH-P6700MP today for $220 installed. My former Pioneer's display died a few days ago so I decided now was the time to upgrade. Thanks for everyone's input.

Also ordered two pairs of Blaupunkt TSc660 component speakers. Not great speakers but for $40 per pair, they'll be a much welcomed improvement over the stock system.
