You can use whatever gauge you want. Ive done it with both 4 and 0, 4 will probably be fine. Theres neg battery to ground, engine to ground, and positive alternator to positive battery. You probably will have to remove the airbox to ground the battery/chassis in the factory spot. The neg battery to ground and neg chassis to ground is one single wire, just follow it from the battery to the ground point then to the engine. Youll need a ratchet, extensions for it, and a 10mm and 12mm socket. Then look on your alternator for the black/red wire that comes straight off the 120A fuse from the battery. It will be under a little rubber cap that you have to pull back. If you find the wire and go to remove the nut on it to add your aftermarket wire, either take out the 120A fuse or take the battery terminal off so you dont blow that fuse. I usually leave the factory wire there, because the more the merrier.

That is a great explination, however, I think we need a vehicle specific explanation with pics. I will be willing to take car of the 5th gen. Any takers for 3rd gen? 4th? If we organize and present it in an informative way, I am sure Don wouldn't mind making it a sticky. I will take the pics of mine and be ready with the explanation by this Friday.

Awesome jigga. See if you can put together a tutorial explaining what you did and the tools used. They will tend to be general but I would like to include other possibilities for tools and equipment. I will PM you with my home email when your done so I can get the pics and write-up.

Thought so but for some reason unless I'm totally blind (which can happen at my age) I didn't see it anymore.

Having either a pop charger or PR CAI def makes the job easier. Why not, you have to remove the intake to do the big-3 anyway.
