Amp placement

I have a JBL 80.4 amp that is going to power all four speakers. Where should I place it?

What I did was take some extra mdf from when I built my box and then attached it to the back seat. Take out your backseat, drill some holes, carpet the board, bolt that sucka on there. Mount your amp on there and put your back seat back in and your done. You lose the ability to use your ski port but that thing is worthless anyway.

I have mine on the floor, but am thinking about mounting them like you Nismos14 or under my front seats. I want to do this to gain a little more trunk room. Here is a picture of their current location in my trunk.

Hey Nismos how do those Alpine subs sound? I know they beefed them up this year, and they have more linear excursion.

They are awesome, for the money, you can't really ask for much more than what you get out of these subs. Fed with good clean power, you will definately disturb ALOT of sleeping neighbors. After I gave them about a 10 hr break in, I've messed with the settings on the amp a bit and the bass level on my HU, lets just say, if I don't dampen my trunk soon it will probably just come off at the hinges. They are very nice subs. I wasn't sold on these subs until I put a pair of 12's in a friends neon. They hit so hard and were so clean and loud, I was like ok, when it's time to upgrade I'll get a pair of the 10's, and here I am with a pair of 10's

Btw nice choice on you're setup, everything looks nice and clean, I'm sure it all sounds very clean. Gotta love MTX amps.

I say under either seat. Lots of grounding opportunities and takes up no trunk space. You also won't need as much wire.

Mine went into the trunk, right behind the ski hole.
