Title basically says it all. How did you wire your speaker wire through your front door? I am imagining that you can remove the grommet to the OEM wires, but that looks like a bear of a task to get the 10mm bolt off...i can alllllmost get it off with my hand, but there has to be an easier way...

I'm pretty sure if you have BOSE that you have to drill a new hole in the door.

If you do not have BOSE, this is what I did:

Instead of running wires from the doors, I spliced the wires up front behind the HU. So the signal that leaves that headunit that usually goes to the doors is actually now being used to send the signal, from the amp in the rear->harness behind HU->back through original wires to speakers.

thats how i did it. VERY simple yet works great.

 

Ill be drilling holes when I get around to running the wires for the 530T's (window automation) and for speaker wire, once I buy the speakers that is. Theres a plug in the grommet itself, so you can either use the factory wire, or drill a hole. Sucks, I know.

 

i ran it under the door sills, then drilled a hole in the kicks...snaked it through...then finally through a tiny slit in the stock grommet in the doors.

I did it the same way mentioned in the above post but I covered mine with wire loom to make it "OEMish".
