What size power wire should i use?

What size power wire should i use?

i have these 2 amps

right now i have a 4 awg to the distribution block and capacitor... and 8 gauage to the amps... is this too small?

Nice spot for the Ipod.

With those amps, I would do 0gauge from the battery back and 4gauge from the dist. block to the amps. As well as 4gauge ground from each amp.

Power wise you *could get away with the 4Awg. Although an upgrade could help....RF tends to like Alot of draw.

hey Don what should i go with cuz i know its straining for power... and i need to replace the powerwire anyways

You know your wiring isn't sufficient when one of your amps requests the same gauge size as the main power wire you are distributing from.

This advice has been given to you already...not long ago.

Power each amp with a 4ga into a distro block, distro block to battery with a 1/0.

OR
Do both a 1/0 to the battery.

Be done with it already.
