it seems like this happens alot worse when the system's warmed up, and its in proportion to volume. not sure which speakers are doing the cracking, but it sounds like all of them, so i guess its probably from the HU or somehting...
it's pretty likely that i blew the system because i have it up pretty loud sometimes but ive never gotten any distortion or warning signs of straining.

i have a 600w amp and a 900w 12" in the trunk spliced into the rear deck speakers...it hasnt given me any problems though for months.

can i have blown the amp's or HU or speakers?
