does the head unit have a power out for subwoofers?

if your talking about a remote line, then u can use any wire that has 12V with the ignition on and none when the ignition is off. Just mess around till u find one.

well I just wanted a simple set up. 1 or 2 10" subs and an amp using my bose HU and speakers. but I just found out that I need an audio line output converter to do this. correct?

Use the PAC AOEM-NIS2 adapter. Do a ebay search for "PAC AOEM-NIS2". This is what you need.

someone tells me i just need an audio line output converter aka hi/lo converter and tap them into my rear speakers.

yes, you will need a hi/lo converter to tap into the rear speakers. you can get this from best buy or circuit city.

if u really want to do it cheap just cut a pair of rca's and splice them into the rear speakers before the amp. The headunit is already sending out a low voltage signal so you dont need a hi/low converter.
