Stock Electrical System

I was just wondering how much power you guys are using with your systems watts wise using the stock electrical system of the maxima. I'm running just 800 watts rms for my sub and my lights dim alot. Also will upgrading just the battery do much for it because from what i have seen it is mostly the alternator that drives the electrical system. any help would be appreciated.

If you can, get your alternator and battery checked out. That could be a problem as well.

Aftermarket gel cells have advertise that they have a lower internal resistance than a stock battery, so a replacement would be a nice alternative. If not, you could always get your factory alternator rebuilt to higher output. Check out your local yellow pages and find an alternator rebuilder in your area.
