Stereo problem

Today I was driving to the store and the stereo cut out. My amps were getting no power. I checked the power, fuses and remote, and all were recieving power. So I checked the ground with a screwdriver and it sparked then the stereo came on. Any ideas whats happening. the system worked fine until today.

loose wiring maybe? check all connections to see if they're secured tightly.

Is the ground free of paint, and down to bare metal?

Looks like the ground is a problem. I sanded it last night and it seemed to work. I need to get it better but that seems to be what the problem is.
