Blown Amp?

I have a 900watt amp and im bridging 2 infinity's through it. This setup used to work fine until my idiot friend got on my volume **** and maxed it. The amp fuses blew out and when i replaced them it still doesnt work right. The amp gives power and light, but when i turn the volume up past a certain point it just goes into protection mode (led turns red) and refuses to play any bass.

Is there anything i can do to fix it? Like, if i opened up the amp would something be broken inside and i could just sodder it perhaps? Do i need higher amp fuses? (it came with 25's and thats what i replaced it with)

The amp is an LA1.300.2 2channel 900watt which i bought off ebay for 50 bucks shipped.

well all im going to say on this issue is to not worry about it and MAKE your friend pay you for the amp. any retard that does that needs to have his hand chopped off.

My friend had that problem it would bump only up till a certain point then cut out after turned up so much. Larger fuse inside the engine bay part should solve it I would say go with a 60 watt. That solved his problem.

Those Lightning Amps really aren't user serviceable from what I've seen. Are you running at least an 8 gauge B+ and Ground? And what size fuse was under the hood? Sounds like it may have blown some FETs on the inside, if it goes into protect that easily.

i had a 40a under the hood, and i just put a 100amp in after reading this. the ground and power cable are solid, but my battery connects could be better. i will have them redo those when i get my oil changed this month.
