Got my Speakers... what else do I need to get?

Just got my Rockford Comps and Rockford Rears. I have a aftermarket head unit.

Im currently about to purchase the Infinity Reference 7541A amp and I need to know what wiring kit i need to get in order to complete my sound system.

I keep seeing these amp wiring kits going for 120 bucks at best buy. If im going to spend so much money on generic wiring, I should just get some stingers.

Can anyone list all the wirings, fuses, and etcs that I have to get? Appreciate it.

So you are just adding that amp to interior speakers, correct? If you see yourself adding a sub or a second amp it will influence the recommendation.

Also, j/c which aftermarket H/U do you have?

I got a pioneer DEH-P9400MP HU.

yeah ill only be using that multi channel amp to power my interior speakers. i have no plans for a sub yet. I just need to get the amp kit and fuses (dunno if they come with the amp kit) to start the project. Im kinda new at this so I just want people to reply with some feedback of the wires and fuses they use.

I love the "yet". Same thing I said. I now have a monthly budget......hahaha.

Go ahead and spring for the 4gauge kit. I have always been a fan and use Stinger products for installation. Several others here like KnuKoncepts.

Here is the Stinger kit I would get. It comes with everything you need.

Here is the KnuKoncepts kit if you are looking for an alternative. Also everything included.

thanks man.

two more questions. since im not running a sub right now, do you think its necessary to get a capacitor. I was checking out a .5 farad rockford one. And also, what does battery terminals do? Ive seen some guys on the org with some kick a$$ terminals with LED numbers on them (most likely they show the voltage) Do i have to get battery terminals at all? I thought we have battery terminals on our stock cars...

caps aren't necessary, battery terminal upgrades will usually provide better current transfer between the acutal battery post and the wire. The battery terminals also give you the ability to add more wires. In my case I've done the big 3 upgrade (0 gauge), have an aftermarket alarm system (2x 10 gauge), and audio system (4 gauge) ~factory terminals can't hold this stuff. In your case you shouldn't need battery terminals yet.

Some battery terminals give you extra outputs, some have fancy lights and LED readouts, niether of them are necessary. Your stock power harness has a nut on top that will be plenty for your intended purpose. A cap is a waste of money. Don't bother.
