Last dist block you'll ever need and a "show piece". Splurge for it. YOu know you want it

I'm still waiting for the happy ending though....

Stinger Expert 0AWG into Batcap400 which was used for distibution to Expert 4AWG to amps. No need for fancy blocks.

I'm running the Knukonceptz dist block. It looks like a little triangle. 1 0gauge ->4 8 gauge. Don't worry, my 8 gauge runs are like ~1 foot. 2 amps though, not 3 or more.

ok, the distribution block solves the problem of the power wires for each amp. But what about the "remote-turn-on" wires that each amp requires? Say you have 3 amps powering a 3-way system, would all three wires from the amps be combined with the "remote-turn-on" wire of the headunit harness? That seems like it'd be hard as hell to do.

Nah. I am running my dvd player, LCD screen, and amp from the same relay...really not all that bad.

Its not fancy, its just a plain White box with terminals, although it actually serves a purpose.

really? when I use to have two amps, I found that even combining two amps to the same relay wasn't easy, much less a neat connection. Maybe cause I wasn't using a soldering gun and manually twisting them together.

You could just daisy chain the remote from one amp to the other..

Will only be running 2 amps and and EQX off of this though. It was from a previous vehicle install that had 3 amps and worked perfectly

Hey one great thing about that dist block is that you can get fuses ANYWHERE...they're so common. The fuse block I got, though real nice, requires special stinger fuses that are grossly overpriced.... I stocked up cause running out of them would be terrible...

I have a DLS 3-way system, which I haven't installed yet. What's better, DLS or Rainbow? Just curious cause you all seem to be sweatin' Rainbow hardcore.

both very nice....sorry you feel left out

DLS are Morel based drivers, Rainbow has an authentic European sound, their drivers appear Seas influenced.

Basically good sounding drivers vs better performing(technically) drivers

In the raw speaker/DIY community, its divided as far as preference of sound.
Dynaudio, DLS, Morel sound vs the Rainbow, Seas Lotus, Scanspeak, Vifa(CDT), Skaaning(Audio Technology) type sound.

If you are happy in how they sound to you its all that matters. Its all nice stuff.
