The brains arent solid, plain and simple, about every other one Id install would run into problems during the install, whether it couldnt pick up the tach wire, it wouldnt respond to programming, etc. Not to mention their alarm brains are the size of Texas.

Anyone put these on 6 speed cars? I know that you need the cluth pedal depressed to start the car but I'm sure that could be wired around that switch. I would be interested in doing this I think it's a sweet "knight-rider" type of mod. It would be nice to have my car heated up in the winter and have the a/c cold by the time I get to my car in the summer. Is this safe to do?

for the clutch bypass use a negative output when running/start-up.that should solve the clutchh problem.

Ever heard of Teknique.---Mainly this model http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-REMOTE-START...QQcmdZViewItem . I'm getting window tint/remote starter installed next week. Like the idea if I lose my keys I can set my alarm off and it will act as a pager. ---As my neighbors give me dirty looks at the crack of dawn. :-)
or maybe this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/FM-Car-Alarm-2-L...QQcmdZViewItem. I would have the local customize shop install it, so I have to make sure they will do someone elses unit first, but I really like.

CC Installer as well, 2+ years running. Lifetime Warranty = yes. I work right next to corporate and know the guys in charge of selecting producst to carry, along with some very technical people. To sum it up, we got rid of code for a reason. I always got the tach to work, but voltage sense is a joke for codes. The brain was freakin huge, and there were just some plain stupid problems. As far as reliability, I installed tons of these and the customers haven't come back. Word of advice tho, if you keep it, wire the channel 1 outpit to the activation wire. The timing to remote start that unit is very picky if you go the regular double pulse activation route. I do have to give kudos to Code for having some good features DEI doesn't have. The 2 way remote displays interior temperature along with date/stop watch/and timer, and batteries last the same amount of time in comparison to DEI. Had a headlight turn-on feature (course you can just wire it to a channel on a DEI, but neat how it had a dedicated channel + more). If it wasn't for the retarded built-in shock sensor and the myriad of ridiculous problems I ran into, I'd put one in my car.

^ The only thing Id give Code over DEI is the **** that adjusts resistance inside the DLRK (Code's 451M for those who don't know). Id love to get my hands on a few DLRK's to keep around for when I need resistance based door locks, because it was way easier.

Code's DLRK > 451M. I have plenty of 451M's, they come with CC's DEI products, but the DLRK pwns it for resistance stuff.
