Pioneer DEH P80 MP Install questions...BOSE replacement...

I know a good bit about both car audio and wiring. Im replacing my entire BOSE system in my 5th gen. I was going to remove the amp along with the OE sub. Well to my surprise when you unplug the BOSE amp, you get nada from the new HU, everything works but there is NO SOUND. So my question for you guys who know a good bit about BOSE in the 5th gens, how do you get rid of the factory amp?? Does it have to remain installed with an aftermarket HU?? Im adding a single 12 and amp to the new system within the week...so Im in no huge hurry. Is there another way to wire the new HU?? Everything was basically plug and play, didnt use the PAC-whatever people talk about on here...just your basic OE matched plugs and wired it up to my new HU. Like i said it works awesome and sounds awesome as long as the OE amp is there...disconnect it and you have ZERO sound. Any help or advice on this would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Matt

You have to run new wires to all the speakers. I'm guessing you replaced all the speakers already?

Dude, right now you have the signal (I'm assuming high level out from your new hu) going into your bose amp, then to your speakers. Disconnect it now. I can't imagine that being good for your hu nor your bose amp.

You could probably go the cheap way and find out which wires go to which speakesr, then jump jump the pins on your plug from the bose amp. For me, I ended up running new wires to all my speakers when I replaced my bose.

speakers have been replaced...all 4 doors. Components in the front. New HU is running to the factory harness using the OE matched plugs/wiring harnesses (dont have the part number or i would post it).

unrealii: Im not at all concerned about my BOSE amp, trying to get rid of it. I know EVERYONE on here hasnt run ALL new wires from their new HU to all four doors. Theres got to be some way around that...if not thought I guess Ill start working on that soon.

I appreciate you guys help and advice!

Thats fine about getting rid of the bose amp, but if your new hu is running directly through it without a pac adapter, you could damage your hu if the bose amp isn't providing proper resistance.

do you have a setup with one central amp or is it amped at each speaker? I have posted a way if you have the one with each speaker, one central amp I havent dealt with but the same manner can be used.
