Alpine CDA-9851, worth it?

after researching different head units, i've decided to get this Alpine. I decided to turn to the ORG to get people opinions on comments, especially from people who have it installed.

thanks

Has anyone experienced the Eclipse CD 8445? I looked at the Alpine, but the shops told me I'd be disappointed, going from an old Eclipse with high voltage/low resistance.

Not sure I'd notice, but this pricey new Eclipse has some interesting features, like True Bass, Surround, and digital tuning and crossovers, etc. I wonder if it's all money well spent?

To sum it up...Eclipse > Alpine.

BTW...The 8445 isnt new, its actually about to be old.
