No bass from Sirius Streamer Replay line-out

I just connected my Sirius Streamer Replay to my Pioneer headunit's AUX input using a PIE adapter (3.5mm stereo plug to Pioneer IP-bus). The bass is now totally gone from the music. When I switch back to the FM signal, it sounds fine.

Is this a known problem with the line-out on the Streamer, or do I need to keep searching for some hidden setting on my head unit's AUX-input?

try using a discman or mp3 player to see if its a problem with the streamer or your radio.

That's my plan when I get home.

It just bugs me that the FM transmitter might be my best option for sound quality.

thats odd. pioneers do have a bunch of hidden wierd-to-get-to settings. AUX hardwired in theory should be the best quality..

yea id say test with another device, also check your manual to see if you can control settings for the AUX setting

what pioneer is it? DEH-P....

AFAIK there is no adjustment for the aux. I know I've never seen one for any pioneer unit that I've owned/installed. Have you tryed using/adjusting settings on the streamer, I do believe there is an independant bass treble and tone control on the sirius unit.

I borrowed a coworkers MP3 player to see which end of the connection my problem might be on. The MP3 sounded just fine, so I plugged it back into the Streamer cradle...now IT sounds fine too!

I dont know what the issue is/was with the sound this morning, but it seems to have fixed itself.

I did notice that I wasn't getting any sat signal though, it was all terrestrial. I'm wondering if that may be part of the good/bad sound issue.

Also possible that the connection wasn't in all the way. But I'm sure you checked that.

Haha. With the 8mm inputs if it's not plugged in all the way, you will DEFINATELY have a lack in some area of sound repro.

To be honset, I thought I noticed something was off with the left-right balance as well as the lack of bass this morning.

The more I think about it, the more I think I must not have had the plug inserted all the way. All 4 connections on the back of the cradle are extremely tight (power, antenna, line out, FM out).
