System Stolen time for something new.

Well I guess I'll give the story first. Monday night someone was nice enough to break out my rear pass. window and broke into my car. They managed to get off with an excelon x789 head unit, 2 12" kicker solo baric L5's and box, a hifonice brutus 1000d amp, my ****ty visonik amp for my components, and a collection of 120+ cd's. So over all I'm out quite a bit of money and insurance is only paying for the window and dash damage. Obviously the first thing going in is an alarm with 2 way pager. But I'm also throwing a new system in the car.

Whats left of the system is my CDT CL61a components, and some infinity references in the rear for some rear fill, zero gauge to the trunk, along with the distro and fuses, and an optima yellow top so not to let that stuff go to waist I want something nice. Not looking for all out SPL power, but want some power and decent SQ.

Head unit wise I'm looking for something reliable that can play mp3s and wmas, I've owned an alpine 9813 (no wma), and a kenwood excelon x789. I liked both equally accept that the alpine couldn't do wmas.

Sub wise I want something alittle more SQ oriented and probably gonna stick with a single sub setup. Heres what I've been looking at, let me know if you got some other good suggestions: Alpine 12w6v2, IDMAXv3 (able to take quite alot of power as well as sounding solid), RE 12 SE, Soundsplitter RLP, Diamond D6. Out of all of them I like the IDMAX best from what I've heard (although it was in a nicely setup competition explorer).

Keep in mind this system isn't going to be coming together for a while (probably a month or 2) so I got plenty of time to think and listen.

Sorry to hear that your gear was stolen.

Soundsplinter makes nice subs. What amps are you looking at?

Sorry to hear about your situation.

I would narrow it down between the ID, D6, and RLp.

As far as amps I would do either Arc or Diamond.

Why isn't the insurance company covering your audio equipment? You didn't inform them of your extra add ons.

I never paid the extra $ to have the system insured because I didn't think that many people would break into an 89 maxima. Apparently someone heard it or saw something they liked. Keep in mind I never bump within 5 blocks from my house. The adjuster is coming tomorow to figure out how much they will cover so I'm going to ask him about how much more it would cost to have they system insured as well (keep in mind my insurance is from New Jersey probably the highest insurance cost in the whole country).

Ok guys heres what I ended up getting:
Image Dynamics IDMAX V3 D2 in a 1.5cu' sealed box powered by a Hifonics Brutus BX1500D amp.

Still havn't gotten the alarm because I havn't replaced the window yet, but no system is touching the car before the alarm goes in.
