I'm not planning on fiberglass, I will most likely build an amp rack and put in the corner on the passenger side of the trunk. We'll see I'm definitely a rookie when it comes to stuff like this!!

Isn't the Tire Jack on that side? Are you going to enclose all that in and remove your jack? I was thinkin maybe build or get one made into the Driverside corner.

Is it? I don't even know, AAA all the way!!! I plan on doing something that is easily movable, in case I do need to get to the spare (or jack, now)

If you make it really easy to remove, can I get your address? Ya know, just so I can check if my Navi is working and all!

(I'm only kidding - btw)

Hey if they're going to take it, they're going to take it!! At least the Max sleeps in a well secured garage every night.

I have another question. Does it matter what kind of speaker wire you run from the subs to the Termial things on the inside of the box? Should I use some high quality wire for this?

I recommend using the same gauge wire you are running from the amp to the terminals. There's no sense in letting the connection from the terminals to your speakers be the weak link.

Okay I was just wondering becasue I have old speaker wire, not that thick and i figured I could use that and go ahead and mount my subs in the box. I guess I'll just go out and buy something good to use.

Thats great!! I can get the same set up for my 5th Gen. My amp is on the back of the seat in it though. I wonder if I'd have the same issues.

looks nice, the box fits the contour of the wheel well pretty nicely

i want to do something similar...so all you'll see is a baffle that spans the gap, and my sub right in the middle.

I was thinkin the same thing. I went to a shop and he told me he could put it under the seat, but I don't know about that cause it doesn't seem like the amp would be all the way under. I mentioned a amp rack in the corner of the trunk and he said he could do that too. I'm just curious what it would look like. Anyone have a setup like this?

I'm working on having zenclosures (EBAY box guy) make me one that would go in the corner on the passenger side...need to follow up with him. I'll keep you guys posted.

Any reason you chose the Passenger side over the Drivers side?

how about someone just make a new floor in front of the box about 3 inches thick and just put the amp in the center put some plexiglass over the amp so you would still have trunk space

Only reason being that my wires run up from under the seat on the pass side...other than that no reason.

For the 10" version I have:
This 2-10” box is partitioned/divided into two chambers.

Airspace is right around 1.07 cu ft per side/chamber..Box total is 2.14 cu ft.

Mounting depth is approx 10"

I don't want to give up the spare. Anyways, building an amp rack in the side area won't really take up any more trunk space...

That is something I'd definetly be interested in. The passenger side would work great for me. I can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Loks great guys, i am for pre fab all the way but i have three JL w7 12's. I contacted that guy on ebay and there is NO way that it could be done using the same contour as the ones you guys have. Air space is very critical for the full trael of the sub, so all i have to say is those of you with the higher end subs be aware of the airspace or contact him, he is really easy to deal with.
