i believe there is a chip in the 98 keys. When i asked about getting mine done down here I was told id need a spare key along with all of what I have.

Why give them the opportunity to potentially break something, or intentionally cause failure?

Just bring it to Don and be done with it. If I know an installer did bad work, I would definitely not bring it back to them, especially if I did not have the knowledge of what they were doing.

If you bring it back to them, make sure you watch, just in case they try anything fishy.

I have the seperate window module as well as latching relay for stereo activation with one of the channels.

lights flash yea, but remote says inhibit...caleld audiovoxx..they're stupid..they told me my inhibit wires are bad and the guy was a **** as well..

i swapped the unit out before at bestbuy, still doesnt start, so has to be his wiring, so he's gonna re-check everything...

Guess this time i'll print out hte maxima wiring diagram :-D ...

How many times did the lights flash? since the inhibit wires are for the starter kill (one is for active when armed and another is for active when disarmed depending on which one he used) try disconnecting the the starter kill temporarily and reconnect the starter wires as normal and see if it works.

Well it owrks...what had happened was someone had worked on the brakes before and ****ed up and reversed a wire so when i'd hit the brake pedal my front lights would turn on inhibiting the **** from starting. So he had to fixed the wiring their, and when he did, boom...remote started...

Why would someone reverse a wire while working on brakes.

There are no wires associated with brakes, except for ABS, and even that you can't reverse a wire.

That installer is kaka.
