Help with installing iPod

So I am getting my USA Spec adapter tomorrow to create an aux in for the BOSE. I have an 01 MAX SE.
ow when I take it apart and connect the cable, can you guys recommend an ideal place where to dril so I can bring the wire around to ocnnect to the ipod? Where do you guys suggest I mount the interface box? I can't seem to find any pics of installations like this and I have never done this before so I would appreciate some help. Thanks.

P.S. The wire form the interface box to the ipod is 4 feet. So the box needs to be hiden and within 4 feet of th iPod. I plan to place the ipod either on a stand in the cup holder or have some snake like stand attached to the bottom of the passenger seet which wil lhold the ipod in the air so to speak. Thanks.

Theres a TON of room in the dash behind the radio for the adapter. Id run the cable down the console and out the side/up to the cupholder.

That looks awesome, except the unit I got is an interface for the ipod so it has the dock connector on the other end no RCA jacks except on the interface box itself (I think arrives tomorro its USA Spec) in case I want to add something which I am thinking of doing (Sat. Radio). Do you htink I should drilla whole in that area though?
