Need some fast help...

Where in the hell do you route the wires for the front door speakers? I had no idea that the stock speaker wire turned into a plug. Do I need to drill a hole somewhere?

You can:

1. use the speaker wires already installed
2. remove the 'harness' (and maybe the whole door too...) and find the small hole BEHIND the harness (it's between the harness and the front of the car). Run it thru there.

Just feed the wires through to the inside of the door and car. You may need to cut a small slit in the grommets on the car side and door side. No need to take the door off. I can just imagine the pain in the rear it would be to align the door back up.

Using the stock speaker wire...will this not affect the performance of my new speaker?

It depends. If you are using a component set, then you'll need to account for the wire(s) running to the tweeter in the A-pillar. I don't know where they go to, but I just ran new wires.

I don't think the wires are too small - it's just a matter of how they are run.

Easier to just run the wires vs. run wires and put door back on .

1996blackmax, he's running a 5th gen which has a Molex plug. can't just run into the doors.

You can drill a small hole through the firewall, and then feed it into the door, or just use stock wiring. For just a component set, you will be fine. It's only when you go into very incredible SQ setups that inferior speaker wiring (for such a short length) is a detriment.

Thanks guys, I found the grommet and then made a slir through the stock tubing through the door. Good to go now.

Well , I had to get underneath the steering column and work it through a bunch of wires. It took some time but it's all good now.
