Non-Bose to Bose

Does anyone know if it's a plug and play? Or do I have to modify any wiring? I know the bose has different speakers and a sub/amp. But for now I'm just concerned with the actual stereo plugging in a playing.

The non-bose system I got the other day doesn't completely work. The CD player clicks and says, check CD and spits it back out. The recycler I got it from only has another on with the bose. So he is going to send it out to me. I'm hoping it will work without modification.

Thanks,
Ron

I'll try this question another way.

Does anyone know if the Bose HU puts out any power to the speakers or only a signal to an amp for each speaker. Therefore, a bose HU in a non-Bose HU equiped car wouldn't work??

TIA

Bose head units put out unamplified signal to the amps. You cannot use a Bose deck on non-Bose speakers.

I bought a complete interior and for now it's what I have. I'll probably just add aftermarket speakers and an amp then later upgrade the HU. Or just buy Bose speakers and wire it to work for now. We'll see when it gets here.

I figure I only paid about $200 for the entire display from LCD to console, so it's not like I'm paying buco $$ for it. I understand where you are comming from tho.

Thanks

Well I got front/rear leather heated memory seats, all door panels, center console, LCD display down to console stereo/HVAC control, a lot of misc interior trim, and a perfect passenger HID headlight assembly for $2100 shipped. From a recycler in Ill. so, no it's not stolen. And he said I can keep the Complete LCD/Stereo with the broken CD player. When I was pricing out everything minus the Stereo at other places it was pushing the high 1K without shipping.

I think I got a pretty good deal. I bought the car on 2/8 and should have it on the road by Friday.
