Wiring Up the Viper 791XV to Open Trunk

Hey,

I got a question, I have got the 791XV installed in my 01 max. and I was wondering how would go about wiring it up so that you can open the trunk off the remote.

What wires would I need to tap into, I could open the trunk off of the old stock "alarm" but the new on cannot.

The car audio place said it would be $50 to wire up the trunk, I know the selenoid is already there from the stock one.

Thanks.

You need a relay, which is like $2-3 from Radio Shack.

Trunk/Hatch Pin is purple/yellow located at pin 38 at SECU

If you do not know what you are doing I highly suggest getting a trained professional to do it, as tampering with your alarm MAY void the warranty.

edit:
Trunk/Hatch Release wire is blue, located at pin 12 at SECU

I'm not sure which of these to use.

Youd use the Trunk/Hatch Release wire, blue, pin 12. I second the motion for a professional install, and the fact that they charge an extra 50 is crap.

Heres relay wiring info for what you'd do if you feel so inclined.
85-12v
86-red/white wire from alarm brain, aka channel 2 output.
87-(empty)
87a-ground
30-output to blue trunk release wire in car.
