Started to Sound Deadend my max

Well today my roll of sound deadner came in. I purchased a roll of Rammat BXT. This stuff is very sticky. Quick question though guys about using it though. how do you guys get around all the wiring? do you guys apply it in q huge sheet or by pieces? also any pics of like a complete door? I just started on the drivers side door today. Hope to do all 4 doors and the rear deck. thanks

It was suggested to me to use patches, I started out trying to use too big of patches, and it wasn't pretty, but then I started using strips about six inches wide by about two foot and that seemed to work pretty good. just try different sizes until you find what is easier for you. here's a link for some ideas. I think Metal is the man when it comes to sound deadening.. good luck

Since Metal's thread is way too much to keep up with, Ill do what you requested and post a pic of a well deadened door.

Definately don't use big sheets it will become a pain in the a$$. Just overlap them by 1/4 inch or so.

If you do some deadening you will notice quite a bit of difference. I am going to have to deaden my doors when I put in the Soundlines and dayton's i picked up for the rear doors. If I do the tangbands in the rear deck I think i MIGHT be able to get away without having to deaden back there.

Deadening is easy, my friend.

You need 3 things to deaden...

(1) A warm day
(2) A razor knife...a good one
(3) A good roller

...oh, and common sense helps.

I'd love to help, but between looking for a job, working part time at night, and doing LED work, I have not even had the chance to look at my own car for the past 2 weeks.

Fawking ACED it...or at least I think I did. The only thing that I am concerned about is them finding out I got axed. HR won't tell them I did, now I need to talk to my old boss and make sure he is ONLY going to give me high praise and not make mention of it. By law I don't think he's allowed to, actually...
