Install question!! Any help appreciated.

Okay i ahve a 98 maxima and most of you are fimiliar with the dash layout. I picked up a megellan rodamate 300 series looks like the one on their website

http://www.magellangps.com/en/produc...sp?PRODID=1257

I want to mount it on top of the dash rather than having it stick to the windshield with the attchment they give you with the kit. this would make it look a lot better but my question is do you think its worth the trouble and if yes should i use like double side material or try and make a mount or bracket that would screw on the dash and at the back of the unit. If i stick it on the dash, I was going to have the wires for power run down the vent that way that dont hang out. What do you guys think.
Thanks.

I don't think you really need help, as it just seems to be a choice on personal preference. Just do what you think will be better.

I've seen vent mount too. That way you can run the wires through the vent. They're like little clips, only stronger...same kind that those stupid air fresheners use.
