power isn't everything now, put it in a right enclosure and it'll still pound.

and don't listen to Rich, he's still stuck in the audiobahn phase.

this is the specs on the amp

Output power : 350x1@ 4 ohms, 750x1@ 2 ohms, & 900x1@ 1 ohms
Transient distortion : n/a
Frequency response: 50Hz-250Hz
S/N ratio(A wtg) : >78db
Bass boost : remote sub level control
Input sensitivity : 250mV - 5V
Crossover : 20Hz-250Hz with subsonic filter
Fuse :
90A @ 900 Watts
Dimensions : 2 1/8" Height x 8 1/4" Width x 13 3/4 Length

how can the crossover be lower than the frequency response??

dude, if the flatlines come in Dual 2, just wire them down to 1 ohm. 900 watts is a modest amount imo.

they do come in dual 2, i might do that, i'll call don tomorrow about the price for it

do you have any clue about my other question, how can the crossover be 20-250hz but the frequency response be 50-250hz, doesn't make sense to me, did i just buy an amp with no low frequencies?

Would not be much of a sub amp if the response started tapering off at 50Hz...

thats what i was thinking, so you think its a typo and its actually just the opposite, more like 20-250hz frequency response and 50-250hz crossover?

and if i go flatline, with it being a 12, should i port it so i can extend the lows more, or seal it for better sound quality, i listen to a lotta rap, just for bass, but i do love my rock (hard rock, staind, disturbed, linkin park...)

large sealed box will fit the bill. the sq will be there, and it'll get pretty low.

recently installed a Resonant Engineering RE12 into my old max for my lil bro. it's in a 1.7 cu ft ported box, tuned to 35hz. it's currently powered by my old 200 watt 2 channel fosgate amp...getting roughly 100 watts. it gets decently loud, but sounds like **** in terms of SQ. but meh...it gets the job done. not bad for an entry level sub imo. i gotta find a monoblock, that fosgate is not liking the bridged @ 2 ohms.

i donit' think any fosgate amp likes 2ohms bridged, i went out yesterday and took my sub out, never let "PROFESSIONALS" (kids that work at audio shops that are younger than me) install your stuff. He had the amp bridged and running at 2ohms, i was wondering why when i switched amps i lost really really low lows, sounded kinda blatty, and would overheat the amp every once and a while, so i rewired it and man are my ears happy i did, lol no longer blatty, amp never gets warm and it plays really low

so in my opinion, DIY on your installs, or make sure the person doing it knows what they are doing

oh the reason i let them install it that time was cause i had such a busy schedule that month that the amp would'nt have been installed for about 3 weeks had i done it myself, so i let him.....took him 2 1/2 hours, and i re did the entire thing in 25 minutes.....

Haha... Man after listening to my bose today I don't know if I wanna F with it at all. I'll bring my car by one day so you can hear it. Give me an UNBIASED (yeah right) opinion.

BTW How much would an EA4000 run me? Or an XA2000? I really like the design and the ease of use mouting below the seat.
