4-channel amp, $200 budget

Hey guys,

My buddy's lookin for a new amp. I think he'll be using it for SL165s and some 5.25 kappa comps, so no more power than 80 - 100 / channel. I know he won't be able to afford an Arc amp with a budget of $200, but I'm tryin to find him something reasonable. He immediately went for an infinity reference (7541a) because he saw 110 watts / channel for just over $200 and figured what a deal. But the specs on that amp suck, and I don't know anything about infinity amps, but I do know there's something better for the money.

Any help is appreciated, thanks guys.

-Brian

Oh, weird, I thought I remembered paying more than that. But I just checked and you're right. Maybe I'll recommend that to him, but it's still $100 more than he wants to spend.

Yeah, but non-audiophiles don't understand this concept.

There isn't anything decent for $200?

"he's is running two arc amps."
"oh really? never heard..."
"oh don't worry, it's just some swap meet brand i believe..."

Well, about those comps...

They're actually not seperate tweeter and woofer. Not sure if anybody is familiar with them, but the tweeter is permanently mounted to the woofer like a regular 2-way speaker. UNlike a normal 2-way though, there is a passive x-over and the tweeter and woofer each have their own hookups.

He wants to buy my SL165s that I'm not using anymore (used to be rear fill) and put those in the front. So there aren't going to be any seperate components here.
