HELP!!! My bass lost its thump

Okay, I've been working on this for about 1 week now and it is frustrating the f*** out of me. I have Sony HU(soon to be upgraded), Bose speakers, 2 amps, 2 subs, and 1 cap. Everything is has been wired and rewired and rewired.... I am getting barely audible music from the subs. I've tried switching grounds, checked connections from front to back, removed cap from line, even removed RCA took them in the house and hooked up to my home stereo. Played with the amps. I've done some reading on aftermarket to Bose hookups, everything is fine on that end(mild distortion, but HU/EQ handled that). What am I missing, I know its got to be so simple I'm going to feel like a moron, but PLEASE jump in here and help.

Check the sub output of the HU and make sure its on. Check fuses. Make sure you have a good ground point. Make sure the remote wire is hooked up securely. Is the amp turning on? Check the internal wires of the box and the terminals and on the inputs of the speakers.

Sub ouput @ Hu is on. No blown fuses. I have moved the ground point 4 times all of which I have bare metal, I even went as far as to drill one into the chasis of the vehicle. The remote wire is hooked into a switch for both amps, but I bypassed that. Inputs on the speakers are secure. This time around I hooked-up a Fosgate 2ch aamp to one speaker and it to does the same thing, music but almost inaudible. Any other suggestions.

Yeah AND... I've had this system for about 3+ years and it does just fine for my tastes. Besides for the price I got it for brand new, I really could not beat it. Funny how you have a smart comment to make, but are of no use, go play somewhere else.

No, its not. The HU has its own RCA outs, and I'm able to tune the sub seperate. Right now its set to middle of the road.

i would get out the DMM and start measuring the voltage you get at the RCA's. seems like the amp is getting too weak of a signal from the HU.

Could it be that the Hu which is also supporting the 4 other individual Bose amps, not sending enough voltage to the Sony amps? Would I need to use the signal at the rear speaker like it is mentioned in the posts?
