dimming lights

Have any of you ever experienced dimming headlights with a small system? I've only got a 400x1 amp, running two 10's but seems when the volumes up i noticed my headlights dim when the bass hits a note... It's not bad but they do dim a little also my gauge lights dim slightly.. I know my amp is'nt pulling more than 30amps or so, think it could be my battery or grounds??

Any suggestions?

put the car into a lake...you are better off. JK, pulling 30 amps should not be a problem but on a 96 max the alti might need replacing. before you get that nice big amp, look into the big 3 and possibly a new battery. and, run 4 gauge wire for the power/ground.

Check all the original grounds for rust/corrosion too. Clean off the battery terminals. Ensure all of your electrical connects are in good shape.
