Question about applying some Damplifier to trunk
Question about applying some Damplifier to trunk
Next week I am going to install some Damplifier underneath my rear deck to *hopefully* lessen the rattles with the Bose subwoofer. But since the rear deck underneath in the trunk is not perfectly flat, can I cut the Damplifier into pieces and apply it? Or is it better to install it as one big piece? Thanks for the help
I just installed 20sq. ft on my trunk lid/rear deck last week.. I used like one whole sheet for the middle part but cut the rest to make it fit properly. You will have some overlap but it's ok. Don't worry if you have to cut the sheets, this stuff is hella sticky and will contour to the deck with no problems..
How much did you buy? SS is the best you will be happy with your choice

I am planning to buy 10 sq. ft. worth, as I am only covering the underneath of my rear deck, do you think that is enough? My other thread asking how much to buy yielded the answer of 10 sq. ft.
Well 10sq. ft should be enough to do the rear deck if that's all you plan to do. But as I was told once you start you want to do more. My trunk lid sounded terrible before but after 2layers of damplifier it's a lot more quiet.
To answer your ques. 10sq. ft. is fine for just the deck. But I recommend also doing the lid as well. 20sq. ft will run you about $60-70 shipped depending on where u live, but worth every dollar
