Got the sub in yesterday . Did not get much playtime with it yet, but the thing sounds nice. Can't wait for it to get broken in all the way. The box I have it in is about a cube after taking the driver's displacement into account.

As for the RL-i. Hearing the Arc sub gives me alot of respect for the SoundSplinter sub. It produces nice sounding bass, and the output it has is pretty impressive. I will alk my wife if she wants me to put it in her car. If not, then I am going to sell it.

Ok, been busy dealing with some timing chain tensioner issues with my car. Still have to get it fixed, but at least I know what I have to do. Freakin Nissan and their redesingning...

Anyway, the sub is starting to come alive. It has both the extra punch, and output I was looking for. The RL-i10 is a very nice sub, but I am glad I made the switch. A little more pronounced low end is always nice .

Now, time to spend some money on the issue at hand . I may end up with another ride pretty soon. Darn, did not want to do that for at least a little while longer....

Sank ya . I had tried that before with my other sub, and did not really notice a difference. The box would have stuck out too much if I had done that with it. The good thing about this is that whatever is in the kids' backpack will not hurt the sub . We also go to the beach pretty often in the summer, and the boogy boards may not be a good match with the sub's cone .

lay it on its back and fire it at the top of the hood then.

the position of it now looks like horse crap.

your box looks a bit small too...

but at least it's quality gear

I already tried that... It eats up more of my floor space, and does not improve the sound. Sub sounds good the way it is. Not trying to win points here, just get good sound, and have some room left in my trunk.

Box size is not an issue, as it is in the correct sized enclosure.

have to understand....he prolly has audiobahn in a box that fills the entire trunk but still sucks.......arc subs require really really really small boxes, my flatline 12 only requires like .8 cuft sealed lol bout as big as the box it came in
