Bose Speakers + JVC HU = Crap

I'm thinking of going back to the stock Bose system in my '96. I currently have some JVC piece of **** HU installed that sounds terrible; the speakers are distorted, staticy and just all around bad. Not the mention the volume seems to be messed up, as even on the lowest setting possible the stereo is still very loud.

Would going back to the original Bose fix this problem? And if so, can i put a 2000+ HU in my 4th gen?

I also have no idea what the stock system sounds like because the car had an aftermarket HU in when i bought it.

One like that. Some people get the "other brand" from like Circuit City.

Did you install it right? I've install the pac unit on an aftermarket HU and and sounded decent with the Bose speaks.

I installed it the only way it could be installed, so yea i did it right. It's not that it sounds that bad it's just that it's not all the clear and somewhat staticy, the speakers are overly loud even on the lowest volume setting and they give a little crackle/pop every time i turn the HU off.

I don't plan on adding any subs or anything, so i think i'll just buy a bose HU off ebay and slap it in.

Could i just replace my two front speakers and have the back two continue to work? I don't have a lot of money right now, and i also don't really want to rewire the back speakers.

Don't mean to post *****, but I am about to install an aftermarket (Pioneer P8600MP) HU, and wanted to know what is the best dash kit to get...I've seen a few with gaps, holes, and whatever else may have you...Im looking for the dash kit that fits as close to stock as possible...

Thanks

your equation is wrong.

bose = crap.

not jvc + bose.

"no highs, no lows, just bose"

So basically new speakers should fix this problem? My main concern is how loud my ****ing speakers are. When the volume is as low as possible the speakers are overly loud.

Do you have your HU wired DIRECTLY to your speakers?

Unless the products are defective or something is installed incorrectly, you should not be having this problem.

did you take off the bass setting? turn your bass allt he way down..or atleast into the negativs...that way your not putting bass into your speakers...although you 6.5's will lack in bass..it will atleast bring down distortion. Ultimate solution would be to just get new speakers.

I still have the stock Bose speakers. I didn't do any additional wiring, i just bought an adaptor (similar to what was posted above).

As far as i know it is. All the wires are colour coded so all i had to do was match them up.
