Those with Rainbow SLC265's.

How good do they sound compared to others, are there reviews on them? Better than the original Bose correct? Help.

I have installed a couple of sets. I would recommend them to anyone for their price range. IMHO, the best set for under $300. In both installs I found them to be very warm, detailed, and very efficient. Triple threat if you ask me.

And way better than the Bose. Give them around 100 watts and let your friends with their high priced component sets be jealous.

The SLC's little brother, the SL165's

also, dampening is not necessary, but beneficial

If you're running an active setup, don't put anything in the back because you'll have no control over it, and it will just throw off the front staging.

With my prior statement still holding true that dampening is not necessary but is beneficial...

If you were to dampen, front doors should get more attention than the rears.

how much rms to each side? 75 rms? I heard they can handle a bit more than that.

I still haven't had time to put my amp in yet, so they are running off the stock HU (yeah, yeah, I know I'm a dumbsh*t) with a whopping 8 watts. They still sound really clear (i can only imagine the midbass I'll get once I amp them) Go for it!

Now if I could just get that amp out of my trunk and installed I'm be sitting golden.

150 rms to each side sounds like wayyy over kill for those components...i was thinking maybe 100 rms to each side.

Yeah, I know. I just got a motorcycle and have been too busy riding. My car hasn't moved in 4 days.

My Diamond amp looks at me and I wonder why I haven't installed it.....but then I fire up the V-twin and off I go.
