Amp not turning on?

I just bought an Alpine F345 4-channel amp to power my front ADS component speakers and bridged for the sub.

Now when it comes to audio, this is not my expertise. But it seems rather straight foward, but I am screwing up somewhere.

My headunit is a Kenwood MP4028.
My amp kit is this: http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...prodID=KOL-AK8
Battery Terminal (+): http://www.sqelectronics.com/web/battery_terminals.asp (Ring Term)

I ran the power wire from the amp down the driver side of the car, through the firewall, into the fenderwell, and into the engine bay. I ran the wire to the battery where I ran it through the fuse and then to the Battery terminal (+).

I ran the ground wire under the rear bench. I sanded down the area. I then ran the remote turn on wire from the amp to the Blue/White wire (Power Control) on the head unit.

Test run: NOTHING.

I have tried the Blue wire (Antenna) for the remote turn on, also nothing. Sanded down the ground area again, nothing.

I haven't used any crimp connectors. Is this the problem? Any suggestions on getting this thing up and running. I'm a little frustrated.

I've double checked everything (fuses, etc) and believe have done nothing wrong, but being a newbie I may have and just don't realize it. Much help is greatly appreciated.

get a DMM and start to test stuff. Test to see if it's getting power at the end of the power cable. Test if the remote lead is getting 12 volts when the HU is on.

maybe you blew the fuse on the amp, or near the battery and you didnt realize it, check it out.

Use a small wire to jump the constant to also feed the remote...that will at least tell you if it is truning on properly.
