how to program a remote to a viper 791xv?

well my 2 way remote is busted pressing the lock button remote starts my car and the remote makes random noises and has a constant beep like a flatline... the noise it makes when some one in the hospital doesnt have a heartbeat in anycase I have no way of arming so I got a spare dei remote from a friend it is the 4 button it has lock, unlock, aux, and the asterick. I want to program this remote to my 791xv so that i can still have an alarm while i send back the 2way to dei for a replacement. If anyone could give me some instructions to program this remote (FCCID EZSDEI474v)i would really appreciate it. The remote i want to program was already programed for another alarm so im not sure if it has to be erased so if anyone has the steps to do so i would appreciate it thanks!

Open the door, key to ON posistion, within 5 secs press the valet button one time, then press AND HOLD it the second time. While holding press the Lock button on the spare remote. Let go and turn off the car...your done.

You are programming a 474V. You need a 479V, the 791xv remote. All remotes are not interchangeable.

Actually he can use either a 472 or a 479. Didnt see he posted 474. But he doesnt "need" a 479, you should know this...472 is the 'companion' remote.
