help w/ 98 I30 and Bose

In February I put in a Kenwood DPX301 because the buttons on my Bose HU were breaking off and I wanted an RCA input to plug my ipod into. It has worked fine with the Bose speakers since February but last week the speakers stopped working. The deck works fine (the CD continues to play) but there is no sound. The first thing I did was pull the deck to make sure that there were no loose connections or wires that were touching. Then I checked the fuzes inside the car. There was a blown 15 amp fuse at the top of the center column of fuzes in a slot that is labled "Bose" on the fuze diagram. I replaced it and the sound came on for a while. While the sound was working I was adjusting my balance and fader to see if all the speakers were functioning. The Right Rear speaker was not working and was just putting out a low constant popping noise. The next day when I started the car the sound worked for like 2 seconds and the fuze popped again. No matter what I do, as soon as I power on the HU the fuze pops. I've tried disconnecting the Right Rear speaker to see if that is what was causing the short and that doesnt work. What should I do next? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Replace the speakers problem solved. Sounds like issues with the bose amps/speakers. Maybe one is shorting out.

Did u check them for shorts? How is the HU connected to the bose amps? That first post is so jumbled.

Have a meter or test light? Start checking wires at the HU, amp, speakers.

Popping fuses usually = short. Now it's just a matter of finding it.

They will propably charge you a lot. Just replace the bose speakers with some aftermarket ones and you will like the sound better since you currently have no sound.
