I forgot to save the page from travelocity. They both come very close though. Hotwire was way Higher.

No sir, I could easily do that with other crap. Believe it or not I do actually value some of your opinions..

I used Travelocity to book one of my flights to Rio Rancho, NM awhile back, it was about 25 bucks cheaper than Expedia. But yeah, for the most part they're pretty similar in prices.

and you value some of my opinions?

some people i know use cheapfares.com. but eh, i'm a little iffy about that site for some reason...

but with all that money you have laying on your carpet, these differences in fares shouldn't be an issue right?

I've used em all, all with similar experiences. You can't go wrong, just search to find the cheapest price. All they are are a middle man (getting discounts on tickets because they can sell and provide coverage/advertisement for the airline/hotel selling) selling to the consumer.

I cannot recommend Travelocity. They had a booking issue on my internation trip. It took me 3.5 hours on the phone (3 hours of it on hold) for them to decided that my ticket was in fact still valid and that they just didn't display 3/4 legs of my trip on their website. They wouldn't comp me anything useful either (well, $50 off airfare and 2 night hotel-I already went on a 10 day international trip ).

So don't use travelocity. My bad experience has already cost them 5 r/t tickets to europe. Orbitz has been great-used them 2x.

Ugh, and travelocity had the best prices so far. Although I suppose you do get what you pay for..

Ive been getting a few plugs for Orbitz, so I guess Ill be looking into them shortly.

I definately appreciate the advice and it will be strongly considered upon final decision.

An IM sent to PearlMax? Don didn't get it, he doesn't go on AIM, and if he does, that's not his screen name.

Sorry, I meant personal message sent through this board. I can post it on here too, but it's a little lengthy of my bad experience with travelocity. I guess I should since I told them on the phone that their terrible customer service and not taking care of me was going to cost them business. So far they've lost almost $4k in sales.

Don't let The Man keep you down.

Unfortunately I doubt they're missing the business you would have potentially given them. The same way if you threaten to migrate from Verizon service they don't care, but if you threaten to migrate from Cingular/ATT, they do and are more than willing to accomodate.

I know they won't ever really care about me but at least I feel a little better. If it helps at least one person from sitting on the phone with their customer service (I spent >3 hours ON HOLD) then it's worth it.

I've booked airline ticket, hotels, and car rental with the following sites without any problem over a 5 year span (at least).

travelocity.com, hotwire.com, hotels.com, priceline.com, orbitz.com

Lately however, I haven't gotten any good deal from priceline. Travelocity and hotwire have been given me a better deal.

thats funny, cause ive had bad experiences with Orbitz, and only great experiences with Travelocity. this is probably the case with them all. they all have some good, all have some bad

I'd say just go with whatever is cheapest and hope for the best

I agree mendon, I think it's hit or miss with them all. Mostly good experiences, but some bad. Such is the travel industry.
