but anyway, i hooked my system up myself. it has worked perfectly fine for the past 8 months up until tuesday when i rewired my headunit to the bose speakers(i finally got sick of the static). now they seem to be working perfectly fine, then randomly shut off for a couple seconds, then kick back on...
oh and also, once i rewired the headunit to the bose i lost control of my subwoofers from my headunit. i can leave it at subwoofer: 0 or subwoofer: max and there will be no difference. i used the same grounding point as before too so i dont see where the problem would have occured? i mean, unless i suck and plugged things in wrong behind the deck...which i dont think is the case (but ill probably double check tomorow anyway)
noone has a clue? (and no, i did not do the wiring after i got maced..dont worry)
EDIT: oh yea and i checked all the connections and they all look fine...it shouldnt matter that i have bare wire runnin into my amp right? (like, there are none of those metal connectors (terminals? maybe?) on the ends of the wire)

No, terminals on the wire into the amp make no difference whatsoever, they just make it easier/nicer looking.
I think the best thing for you to do is step back and tell us EXACTLY how you wired your HU into the Bose system.

Check your connections. Mebbe one of em is loose behind the HU, remote wire perhaps is kicking the amp on and off. Also as far as independent control of the HU, you would have to run the sub preout of your A/M HU to the pre-in of the sub by the rear deck.

checked connections yesterday, they all seem to be fine. im thinking my remote wire is loose or something too.
but my question is why was i able to control the subs with my HU before i rewired the HU to the bose and now i cant?
