viper 791xv

i just picked up a viper 791xv from my friend new in the box for cheap cheap, trying to keep it cheap, i dont wanna pay someone to install it, what is the reality of me installing this myself? i do have a basic knowledge of electrical systems

its is do able with some trial and error, there is a how to some where, lol i see if i can find it when i get home, its really good. but be prepared to not have a car for a little. and always have an extra car in case you need to run out and get something.

yeah that's it, best how to i know of besides having someone there with you that knows how to do it. i'd personally never do it again...lol i did two cars it was really stressful and tiring...but i'm glad i did it cause i know how to fix stuff if something happens.

don't use a test light, get a meter.

a test light will work fine..

never had any problems. just dont probe any airbag lines.

Computer safe test light will work better. It wont deploy airbags just in case...

right, ESD safe or whatever. well i once heard of a guy probe through a wire, and hit another wire, or a piece of metal and blammo..
