Adding/Moving Cigarette Lighter/Power Outlet?

Has anyone added/moved a cigarette lighter/power outlet into the center armrest of a 2002 GXE or similar? I'm looking to have a place to plug things in and keep them out of sight.

Thanks for any suggestions you might have.

hard wire whatever you're powering..

or if you really want to add another cig lighter, tap the stock cig ligther's power and ground , run lines to where you want it and voila

Just get a flush mount cigarette plug and run the wire.

Be careful of the load you are pulling though, if something is plugged into both outlets you may be pulling too much current. Of course, this is relatively unlikely, and is very dependent on what you are plugging in.

I'll probably just power an mp3 player or cell phone charger. I've got the two standard outlets. I just would like to have one in the console. I just would make sure I never used more than two outlets at a time.

Know of a good place to buy one of these outlets? Auto parts place? Boat accessory store?

Thanks again.

Pep Boys, any auto parts store should carry them.
