New Amp Install Pic...

This is the first install that i have done, but i wont ever have someone do this kind of stuff for me again. I feel so much better knowing that things were done right. I know it is not common practice to mount amps upside down do to cooling issues...however i wanted to keep it tucked out of the way, and this was the only place that i really wanted to mount it.

The amp is an Alpine MRP-F240 and it is powering my front Alpine SPS-171A front components and my Alpine SPS-17C2 rear speakers. All the wiring is Stinger Pro.

The amp panel is made out of mdf and is covered in black vinal. It is attached to the factory bose sub mounting location in my 2001 Nissan Maxima.

Here is the pic...

VERY nice! For a first install you really did a great job with zipties and wire loom. Impressive.

I think I would drill some holes in the amp rack to make sure it could get some air.

As far as heat, you should be fine. The alpine's tend to dissipate heat well as my mrd300 does well in my GF's car.

Over the last couple of days, i have been keeping an eye on the heat...it seems to be fine. Once it gets up to opperating temp it seems to just stay there. We'll see in the long run.

Nice job for your first install. Looks like what some installers would charge between 80-100 dollars for to do? Time it took you? I will be doing my own amplifier and speaker (subs}install soon. I have a question, when you installed your Alpine SPS-171front components/Alpine SPS-17C2 rear speakers..the tweeters in the pillar were they hard to remove? Or did you install them in a kicker panel setup? If you have any suggestions on removal of the factory tweeters..send 'em this way...

Keep the pictures coming and great work.

Wow, that came out great. Nice and clean. I really need to think about adding something like that to my system.
