bose without the amp

bose without the amp

I hooked a bose hu up in my 1987 nissan maxima and i have an amp i just need to get a line level converter.

but is it normal for the sound to sound like **** without an amp hooked up ?

Not just low but like crap?

Bose requires an amp because it only sends a low level signal to power its amp. You are using a signal for an amp to attempt to power your speakers, you probably have very little output or highly distorted output because of this.

Alright , So if i get a 400 wat amp it should be good?

Yup, a 400 Watt Pyramid amp and a couple funky pups and your car will be bangin.

We'll need quite a bit more info than that to tell you if its worth your time or not. Which, judging by the fact that itll be powered by a Bose head unit high-low converted, I doubt anyone is going to tell you its good.

well the amp is a sony xplod 600w .

The front speakers are stock from the 1987 nissan maxima .

And the rears are Pioneer 6x9's .

No clue what kind because the previous owner never told me what kind they where.

I got the amp wired up to the right rear speaker and its not distorted and its a little louder.

You should start fresh. Rip out the bose rip out the sony xblows etc. etc.
